For many, Robin Williams' memory lives on through his movies, but for his daughter Zelda Williams the thought of watching her famous father on screen is still too painful. "I think I'll reach a place where I'm more comfortable, I'll happily watch all his films again," she told ET. "Right now, I think that would be a bit self-destructive, in a sense. It's been nice to kind of work on myself and my family and the people who are here. "Zelda lost her dad in August 2014; the 63-year-old star, who had publicly faced addiction, was battling severe depression at the time, and took his own life.

He remains a source of inspiration to his daughter, who said that she hopes to live out his kindness. "A lot of what I try to do is interact with the world the way he did," Zelda said. "He didn't care who someone was; he did a lot of work with the homeless, he did a lot of work with people in prison, as my mum does now, and he was always kind."It meant a lot to him, so I kind of hope to, if nothing else, be that. "Zelda is also following her father into the entertainment industry; she has been busy developing projects over the last year, including several scripts she has written herself, and made her directorial debut last week with her friend JoJo, directing the latter's Save My Soul music video.The pair, who were introduced by Robin at the premiere of his film RV in 2006 and have remained close ever since, share a special bond. Both their fathers battled addiction, and JoJo lost her own dad last November.

Asked what Robin would think about the music video, Zelda replied: "I think he'd be proud. But I think he'd be happy to see that I was doing that finally, because we talked about it a lot. "The 26-year-old went on to reveal that when she is on set, she takes to heart some very practical advice from her father. "Don't go to the bathroom with your mic on," she said, with a laugh. "Always be nice to hair and makeup because they're responsible for you not looking like a piece of s***. Excuse me, my apologies. This is why dad always had censors everywhere around him!"I swear like a sailor, like he did, so it's hard for me at times," she added, still laughing. "Public interactions, basically. Especially around children!"
