She's a seasoned Olympic swimmer and champion but skiing is not Rebecca Adlington's forte. The two-time gold medallist has revealed that she has never tried the sport before, but is up for the challenge in The Jump.
Becky, as she is known by her family and friends, will attempt to master various winter sports on the TV show including skeleton, bobsleigh, speed skating, ski cross and giant slalom.
She joins Sarah Harding, TOWIE's James Argent and Made in Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli among other stars on the slopes.

"I am a total beginner and have never been skiing before in my life so it's definitely going to be a tough challenge for me," said Becky, speaking as the new ambassador of Slazenger Swim.
"I'm one of a few total beginners who has never ever done it before. I don't think I am going to do too well so I wouldn't put your money on me. Hopefully I can come away a decent skier and do alright – I just don't want to be first out!"
Being a sportsperson, Becky said she was never allowed to ski before her retirement in 2013 at the age of 23. "Hopefully I can use some of my skills I learnt from sport, being focused and dedicated, to master some of the skills," she said.

Commenting on her fellow Olympian, gymnast Beth Tweddle, Becky added: "I don't worry about her being better than me as I know she will be! I'm sure she will be fantastic at most of the events as she is in great shape, I will have to do my best to keep up."
The 26-year-old has flown out to Austria with her fellow contestants, where their first task involved skeleton training. "Me and @sarahnicoleharding this morning... Safe to say this was before we did skeleton training!! #stillsmiling #thejump," Becky captioned an Instagram snap.

It seems Becky has made the trip with her seven-month-old daughter Summer, who she welcomed with husband Harry Needs last June. Sharing another photo of her baby all bundled up before the trip, Becky wrote: "Trying out Summer's snowsuits ahead of Austria for #thejump!! I want an adult one! So cosy and warm! #familytime."
