Disney star Jake T Austin has spoken out after it was revealed this week that he is dating one of his biggest fans, Danielle Caesar. Danielle has spent the last five years tweeting 21-year-old Jake – and he recently confirmed their romance, uploading a sweet snapshot of them kissing on Instagram.Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Jake opened up about their fledgling relationship: "We are young and having fun and just getting to know each other," he said. "It doesn't matter how you meet someone – on set, in a coffee shop, at school, or in the business. Sometimes you just connect with people at the right moment and you just click."

Jake is best known for his role as Max Russo in Wizards of Waverly Place, starring opposite Selena Gomez. It was during that time, in 2009, that Danielle first fell for the actor – but it wasn't until 2011 that she first met her idol in the flesh, at a signing at Planet Hollywood in New York. "Your smile is so cute @JakeTAustin," she captioned a photo of them together.The next day, the actor, who is of Puerto Rican descent and lists JLo as his "womancrushwednesday", started to follow 22-year-old Danielle back on Twitter - and five years later, and after a lot of persistent messages from Danielle, they officially announced their relationship, with Jake uploading a romantic kissing photo captioned: "I'm crazy for her."

The picture has been liked by more than 146,000 people, with many stating that Danielle was their "fangirl goals". Danielle also shared the image on her own Instagram page, and captioned the snapshot: "Every love story is beautiful, but ours is my favourite."
