Jamie Foxx has claimed he is "not a hero" after pulling a driver out of a burning car on Monday evening. The 48-year-old helped to save Brett Kyle's life after he was involved in a car crash in Hidden Valley, California, and no one was more grateful than the driver's father Brad Kyle

The actor had an emotional meeting with Brad on Tuesday, and shared a photo of the pair hugging on Instagram.

"Met the father of the young man from last night today," Jamie wrote. "This is all that matters. That a man, a son, a brother's life was spared last night. God had his arms wrapped around all of us… No heroes… Just happy fathers."

Jamie rushed to the scene after Brett lost control while driving, resulting in his vehicle skidding off the road and flipping over on Monday night. Before the vehicle burst into flames, Jamie and another witness were able to break the window and cut the driver's seatbelt to successfully free him from the car.

"I'm not a hero, but had to do something," Jamie told reporters on Tuesday.

Meanwhile the victim's father Brad Kyle fought back tears as he said: "It doesn't matter to me who it was or what they do for a living or whatever, just the idea that someone would do this is so much more than I can fathom."

One person who was particularly proud of Jamie's actions was his daughter Corinne Fox. The budding model, who acted as Miss Golden Globe at the Golden Globes, tweeted about the incident on Tuesday.

She tweeted: "Just got off the phone with my dad… Absolutely wild. That man really did have angels watching him. Definitely a life or death situation."
