Mark Wright celebrated his 29th birthday on Wednesday with some sweet messages from his nearest and dearest. The former TOWIE star's wife Michelle Keegan shared a throwback photo from their wedding day in May on Instagram, along with the message: "Happy birthday to my other half."

His mum Carol Wright also sent her birthday wishes to the 29-year-old on Instagram. Posting an old photo of them smiling together, the proud mum star told Mark that his grandma Nanny Pat, who passed away in December, was looking down on him.
Carol wrote: "Happy birthday to my cheeky son who has made us prouder by the day, we love you so much and are so lucky to have you in our lives #son #brother #husband #hero and I'm sure nanny pat is looking down on you with her little shandy x x."

Mark told fans he was having a relaxing birthday by watching films and "doing nothing all day" until he attends the National Television Awards on Wednesday evening. The Take Me Out: The Gossip presenter had previously expressed his shock at turning 29 by posting a childhood snap alongside a recent image of himself on social media.

While Mark will be celebrating his birthday with his wife Michelle, the couple will soon be forced to spend two months apart when the actress flies to South Africa to film her BBC drama Our Girl later this month.
The loved-up pair have been spending as much time together as possible before she jets off, and enjoyed a low-key date night at the cinema together earlier this month.
