Head honcho Simon, who has also signed previous contestants Fleur East and Ella Henderson to his label, has yet to comment publicly on the news.
His last tweet was posted on the night of The X Factor finals in December, when Simon gave a special mention to runners-up Reggie and Bollie. "And congrats to Reggie and Bollie," he tweeted. "The nicest people. They will sell records next year."
It sounds like the pair aren't the only ones who will be making new music soon. Their mentor Cheryl teased fans on Instagram at the start of the month, writing: "Think it's time for the.. Studio!!! It is 2016..."
Cheryl has reportedly begun divorce proceedings with her husband Jean-Bernard
Reggie N Bollie's success will come as welcome news to Cheryl. The 32-year-old is said to be divorcing her husband Jean-Bernard, whom she married in July 2014.
Writing in Best magazine, Cheryl's brother Tony explained that the X Factor judge "wasn't herself" throughout the series, adding that she looked "thin and frail, and appeared preoccupied and distant at times".
