Amid reports that Louis Tomlinson’s son has been born, Simon Cowell answered questions about the role he would play in the life of the One Direction singer’s baby. When questioned by the Mirror about whether he would like to be chosen as a godfather, the music mogul responded: "We’ll have to wait and see. I’m godfather to a lot of kids now. I would if he asked."
Simon Cowell said he would accept the position of godfather to Louis' first child, if he were asked
It would come as no surprise if the singer did ask the 56-year-old to act as a godparent to his child, as the Syco boss has mentored Louis and One Direction since the inception of their career on the X Factor in 2010. Simon also picked Louis to return to the singing competition recently as a guest adviser during the judges' houses section of the competition.Although Louis has yet to comment on reports that Briana Jungwirth has given birth to his child, the singer was spotted shopping in Los Angeles wearing a hospital band on his left wrist. According to TMZ the pop superstar flew into L.A to be beside his former girlfriend when she gave birth.
Although they are not in a relationship Louis and Briana remain close friends
Despite the end of their relationship, the pair have remained close friends and plan on co-parenting their little baby. Confirming the news of pregnancy in August on Good Morning America, Louis said he was "buzzing" about the idea of becoming a father.Proving that he is taking fatherhood very seriously the singer has relocated to California so that he can be close to Briana and share parenting responsibilities. "Their friendship is extremely strong and they are both really excited about the baby," a source told People.
