Nick Cannon had an amusing reaction to the news that his ex-wife Mariah Carey is engaged to Australian businessman James Packer. The 35-year-old shared an Instagram meme that appeared to show himself passing out after getting a glimpse at Mariah's new 35-carat engagement ring just days after her engagement was confirmed.
In the picture, taken from his television show Real Husbands of Hollywood, the father-of-two can be seen lying in a hospital bed while comedian Kevin Hart stands over him looking concerned. The caption reads: "It's just a ring Nick..."

Nick wrote: "Ha! This made me laugh out loud for real!!! HILARIOUS! #AllLove."
However he wasted no time in sending his best wishes to the happy couple, adding: "Congrats to @MariahCarey and James! May God Bless Your Future Union... #GreatPeople #GreatCouple."
James is believed to have popped the question to Mariah in New York City on Thursday evening after a fairytale seven month romance. The couple are said to have "fell head over heels in love with one another" as soon as they started dating in June, with a source telling E! News: "It's crazy how perfect they are together, they both know and couldn't be happier."

Nick has been openly supportive of the singer's relationship and told Ellen DeGeneres in December that he would like to meet Mariah's new love. "I haven't. I want to though," Nick said. "I think that would be cool. It's still like, we've talked about it and stuff, it seems like it's cool."
He also revealed that he and Mariah continued to remain on amicable terms for the sake of their four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe.
"It's all about unconditional love," Nick explained. "And knowing because they were so young this is kind of what they know. And they know mummy and daddy still love each other, but more importantly they love us."
