All Saints are back! The 90s girl group have announced their reunion and revealed they will be releasing a brand new single titled One Strike on 26 February. The song, which is described as "lovelorn yet uplifting" is sure to pack a punch – it has been inspired by member Nicole Appleton's split from husband Liam Gallagher in 2013.

"When I write, I just think about what's on my mind," Shaznay Lewis said of the track. "The lyrics came from somewhere very real. Nic was going through a lot of things at that time. That was at the forefront of my mind because it was the heaviest thing going on."

Nicole revealed that she talked to Shaznay "for hours and hours" on the phone throughout her marriage breakdown, while her sister, Natalie Appleton, said she was immediately moved by the poignant lyrics. "The first few times I heard it in my car," she said. "I couldn't stop crying because I could hear so clearly what it was about."

After a number of reunion gigs and performances in 2014, the group decided to get back into the recording studio and work on some new material. The new album Red Flag will be released on 8 April, following the release of lead single One Strike next month. "We didn't force ourselves into this situation and it couldn't have happened at a better time in all of our lives," Natalie said. "I just missed being with the girls. It makes us happy."

"Listen, if you can work with your favourite people, then why not? I have such a good time and I spend more time laughing and having fun than I do working, "Shaznay agreed, adding that the reunion is going so well they are already working on tracks for another album.

"Seriously. I got on such a roll writing and recording with the girls again, we've started getting material for the next album together already," she said. "This couldn’t feel more right."
