While George has yet to give his parents a grandchild, he did help them adopt a rescue dog during the festive season. The Money Monster actor adopted Nate, a terrier who was born with birth defects. The Clooney's own terrier had recently died after being with the family for ten years.George had apparently been watching videos of Nate, and reading his profile with the idea of giving the pup to his mum.According to LuvFurMutts Animal Rescue’s Facebook page, "George had a feeling [his parents] were ready for a new furry friend." Together George and Amal had the pup adopted from the shelter and delivered to his parents, Nick and Nina Clooney, on Christmas Eve.
George may not have given his parents a grandchild, but he did help them adopt a dog over the festive season
The Facebook post continued: "Nina cried a little when she opened the door and Nate was put into her arms. She was very surprised. She cried a little again when she read the card from George, Amal and Angel (George's assistant) saying they wanted her to have Nate to enjoy Christmas with."
"What is impressive is the fact that George picked Nate out and Nick and Nina accepted Nate just the way he is. They could have any dog in the world but they chose to adopt a dog who was crippled and could have been with LuvFurMutts for life."
