Beyoncé channels Bollywood in Coldplay's music video

She's an international superstar who is known for her killer colloborations and head-turning outfits, and this time, Beyoncé has combined the two. The 34-year-old brings a Bollywood feel during her appearance in Coldplay's latest music video and it's a must-see.

The Crazy In Love hitmaker, who is friends with Chris Martin and ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, features on Coldplay's Hymn For The Weekend track, making a lasting impression in the colourful video.

Filmed in Mumbai, the video shows the global icon in traditional Indian attire as she wows with her vocals, complementing frontman Chris Martin.

The singer performs against a floral backdrop while wearing a large decorative headpiece. A blonde Beyoncé is seen wearing a red sari with a plunging neckline and ornate jewellery decorating her face.

Speaking about the star, bassist Guy Berryman told Capital FM: "It was amazing, she came in, she did her thing, she was unbelievably professional. I think she was in and out in five minutes," he said.

"And yeah, we’re just so blessed to have her sing on one of our songs. She really transformed it and made it into something that we’re all incredibly proud of. It’s quite understated which I like. She’s just fab and she’s so sweet and down to earth," he added

The two singers have been friends for years

The British band have also confirmed Beyoncé will star alongside their Superbowl halftime performance, which will take place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on 7 February.

The Drunk In Love singer famously headlined the halftime show back in 2013 and was briefly joined by her former Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
