Gary Barlow has revealed that a Take That reunion is on the cards, but it will "probably" only feature four members. The singer said that the group are already planning their biggest ever live tour to mark their 25th anniversary, however it is unlikely that the full original line-up will take part.

While Robbie Williams is expected to re-join the band for the celebrations, it is unlikely that Jason Orange – who left Take That in 2014 – will participate in the tour.

Gary Barlow said Take That are planning their biggest ever live tour for the 25th anniversary

Speaking to The Sun, Gary explained: "We'll do a Greatest Hits album next year and tour the year after. A Greatest Hits with everyone would be amazing but I personally can't imagine Jason coming back on stage for quite a few years. But if Rob could do something that would be brilliant."

When asked if he thinks all five band members could return to the stage for the tour, the singer admitted: "I'd love to say everyone will be back but in truth it will probably be four."

Take That have continued as a trio since founding member Jason announced his decision to leave the band in 2014. Along with his bandmates Mark Owen and Howard Donald, Gary released album III and toured as a three-piece in 2015, but there has always been the suggestion that Robbie could make a comeback.

In June, the Let Me Entertain You singer showed he is still supportive of the group as he posted a photo of himself backstage at a Take That show, writing: "I've just been to see the show of the year @ the O2. I love my boys. Pride, nostalgia, entertained, happy #LETMEBACKIN x".
