David Beckham and son Brooklyn head to the 'Super Bowl baby!'

David Beckham and his eldest son Brooklyn Beckham were among the sports fans lucky enough to get their hands on Super Bowl 50 tickets on Sunday. Father of four David shared his excitement ahead of the game – and poked fun at his 16-year old as they posed for a selfie enroute to the stadium. "SUPER BOWL BABY… My boy's first one so you can see by his face he is excited @brooklynbeckham," David captioned the photo, which scored more than 677,000 likes from his Instagram followers.

Brooklyn later uploaded a picture taken from their prime seats inside the Levi stadium in Santa Clara, California, writing alongside: "Game time is approaching… @davidbeckham."The Super Bowl is one of the most anticipated sporting events in the calendar – and it certainly didn’t disappoint this year. Lady Gaga kicked off proceedings by singing the National Anthem, while viewers were also treated to performances from Coldplay, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson.

Brooklyn posted a picture taken from their seats inside the stadium

Coldplay opened the half-time show by singing Yellow and Viva La Vida as children carrying multi-coloured umbrellas and violins streamed on to the pitch. Bruno and Mark then performed their hit Uptown Funk before Beyoncé sang her brand new song Formation.The artists closed the show by performing a mash-up of Coldplay's Fix You and Beyoncé’s hit track Crazy In Love.

The 16-year-old also uploaded a photo of the half-time show

Believe in love @Coldplay @beyonce @brunomars #SB50," tweeted comedienne Ellen de Generes.An estimated 120m viewers in the USA, and 160million worldwide tuned in the watch the Super Bowl 50. The Denver Broncos beat favourites Carolina Panthers 24-10, to earn their third Super Bowl title.
