"He's out in LA. He's working really hard, he's doing all sorts of things," Ellie said of her boyfriend. "He's started acting which is amazing and he's a complete natural so I'm excited to see what comes of that.

"You know we work it out, we figure it out. We're pretty realistic with things and we're pretty sensible about it so we just see each other when we can."

When asked if they will settle down at some point, Ellie said: "I mean yeah, it's just that sort of time when everything becomes up in the air… but at some point maybe."

Ellie has been dating McFly bassist Dougie for around two years, but the pair were reported to have temporarily split before Christmas after hitting a rough patch in their relationship. The pair have since reconciled, with Ellie telling Red magazine their relationship was too special to give up on.

"You don't throw something like that away so easily," she confessed, adding that Dougie had restored her faith in men.

"Before him, I was having a single period and hating all men, saying never again, after a series of things that happened to me. I really, really thought I was going to be single for a long while. But then I met him and was like, uh oh, game over. He was just so nice."
