Madonna has not seen her son Rocco for months amid an ongoing custody battle, and it appears the distance is taking its toll. The Rebel Heart singer shared a throwback photo of herself and Rocco together on Instagram, writing the simple caption "Tu me manques", which translates as "I miss you".
The photo shows 15-year-old Rocco as a baby, smiling sweetly as he gets a piggyback from his superstar mum. It prompted a supportive response from Madonna's fans, who commented telling her to "stay strong", with one adding: "He will always be your son and you always his mother."
Madonna said she was missing her son Rocco
Rocco is currently living with his film director father Guy Ritchie in London. The teenager spent the Christmas holidays with his father and stepmother Jacqui Ainsley, along with their three young children, after reportedly saying that they provide him with a more "stable and loving" home life.
Madonna's eldest son accompanied his mum on her Rebel Heart tour last year but quit the road early when their relationship became strained. His father is said to have hired a lawyer in preparation for a custody battle with Madonna because of Rocco's strong views.
Despite the current tensions in their relationship, Rocco never appears to be far from Madonna's thoughts, and she has shared a number of photos of herself and her children on social media in a bid to show him how she feels.

Meanwhile Rocco has been spending some downtime with his family and friends, including Anaïs Gallagher – the teenage daughter of Noel Gallagher and Meg Matthews.
Meg shared an image of them together on Instagram, which revealed that Rocco has shaved off his long blonde hair. She captioned the photo: "Mum go away!! Rocco & Anaïs weekend out of London…"
