Isabella Cruise has spoken out about her relationship with her parents Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman for the first time. The 23-year-old, who typically shies away from the spotlight, dismissed reports that she is no longer on speaking terms with her parents in an interview with Australian magazine New Day.
"Of course [we talk], they're my parents," she said, adding that rumours suggesting otherwise are untrue.
Isabella Cruise said she still talks to her parents
Isabella's relationship with her parents has been called into question since she married IT consultant Max Parker in September. The couple tied the knot at London's Dorchester Hotel with neither Isabella nor Max's parents present, as they reportedly felt Tom and Nicole's presence "would have turned the whole event into a circus".
The newlyweds have since been enjoying life out of the spotlight after moving to Croydon, South London, where Max's family originate from. It is reported that the couple rejected financial support from Bella's parents, and Max admits that his wife has removed herself from the fame and fortune of her old life.
Isabella didn't invite her parents Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise to her wedding
"Yeah, you could say that," Max told New Day. "It's more [of a] weird [situation] for everyone else."
Isabella and Max also discussed their future together, and said that they would like to start a family together one day.
"I'm 23, so we'll see," Isabella said. "I'm still a baby myself!"
Isabella's rare interview comes just weeks after she made her first public appearance since her nuptials at an art exhibition in London. The make-up artist joined a friend to attend Tyler Shields' Decadence exhibition at London's Maddox Gallery, but ensured to keep her wedding ring firmly out of sight.
