Husband and wife, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, took a trip down memory lane on Tuesday. The couple have been enjoying a skiing holiday in Aspen, taking the opportunity to visit the spot where the Wall Street actor proposed.

Looking even more in love than ever, the pair are seen in their ski gear, posing in front of mountains. "16 years ago, this was the spot where my husband proposed," the Chicago star wrote alongside the romantic shot.

Her 71-year-old husband also updated his Facebook fans with similar photos. "Scene of the crime... where I proposed to Catherine, New Year's Eve, 1999," he captioned the images.

Michael and Catherine – parents to Dylan, 14, and 12-year-old Carys - celebrated their 15-year wedding anniversary in November.

The pair are more loved up than ever

Welsh beauty Catherine marked the occasion by sharing a sweet black-and-white photo on Instagram showing the couple with their arms wrapped around each other. "Happy Anniversary dearest Michael! Loving our life together, here's to the next 15!" she captioned the snapshot.

After being introduced by mutual friend Danny DeVito at the Deauville Film Festival in France in August 1998, the pair tied the knot two years later in a lavish ceremony.

The Hollywood stars are very much back on track following their brief split back in 2013. Michael recently shared the secret of maintaining their long-term relationship while attending an awards event last month.

"I think it's just moment to moment," the star told reporters. "Catherine reminds me, I like to say sometimes, we all make more effort with strangers than we do to the people closest to us."
