Reese Witherspoon's nearest and dearest pulled out all the stops to ensure she enjoyed her 40th birthday celebrations over the weekend. The actress, whose milestone birthday is on Tuesday, hosted a party at the Warwick in California – complete with a private performance from Taylor Swift.
The birthday girl reportedly arrived at the party with her husband Jim Toth and mother Betty, who had flown to Los Angeles especially for the occasion. Looking stunning in a sequinned dress, Reese celebrated with some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, Robert Downey Jr, Matthew McConaughey and Tobey Maguire.

Perhaps one of the highlights of the night was Reese putting on a performance of her own with country musician Keith Urban. The duo performed Sweet Home Alabama together – a nod to her role in the 2002 film of the same name.
