Renee Zellweger shrugged off the comments about her change of appearance, claiming that she doesn't pay any attention to it during an interview with NBC's Today. The actress also chatted about the arrival of the long awaited third instalment of the Bridget Jones series, Bridget Jones's Baby.
When asked by host Sheinelle Jones if the comments about her change of appearance bother her, Renee said: "It's not really part of my life. It's part of the job that I don't really experience except when I step into this arena.
"In my home I'm not aware of it," she continued. "I don't do any kind of social media, so I don't see it. I like to have – I guess you would call them real experiences."
Renee claims to prefer "real experiences" to social media
Renee's change of appearance first drew attention when she appeared at the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards way back in 2014, but has always maintained that she has never had a problem with people commenting on her change of looks.
At the time, she told People Magazine: "I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happier, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows."
The actress was also keen to chat about the third Bridget Jones movie Bridget Jones's Baby, where her famous character gets pregnant, not knowing if the father of the baby is the charming Mark Darcy's (Colin Firth) or new love interest Jack Qwant's (Patrick Dempsey).
Renee will be playing Bridget Jones for the third time in Bridget Jones's Baby this September
She told Today that the level of secrecy is so high that they have even filmed three alternate endings to avoid spoilers, and even she doesn't know which one is real.
"They kept us guessing… Because you never know, people with cell phones and talking...and I might slip up and tell my mom, 'Oh you know when she ends up with…'' she said. "I don't know what they're going to do!"
