Vernon Kay and his wife Tess Daly maintained a dignified front as they were pictured together for the first time since the texting scandal. The dad-of-two has been fighting back reports which claim that Vernon has been messaging 29-year-old model Rhian Sugden – the same woman he was linked to six years ago who almost cost him his marriage.
Putting the rumours behind them, Vernon and Tess appeared to be in high spirits over the weekend. The couple, alongside their two daughters Amber and Phoebe, were seen leaving their house in a white Range Rover.
The Sun reports that the family were heading to Vernon's parents home in Bolton for a day out.

The family sighting comes just days after Vernon was at the centre of a texting scandal. The radio DJ was said to have got back in touch with blonde model Rhian in December, with the hope of secretly meeting up with her.
However Vernon, 41, clarified reports, insisting that his texts to Rhian were above board, and that Rhian had said she had new information about the 2010 scandal. Vernon added that his wife Tess, 46, was aware of the communication.

"I was contacted by Rhian out of the blue back in December," he wrote. "Regarding the story in 2010 claiming she had new information she wanted to pass on.
"I recognise how it may look when the messages are pulled out of context but there was never any inappropriate intent to our communication, I was merely trying to find out answers to questions I've had since 2010."

While Tess is said to be humiliated by her husband's alleged actions, the Strictly Come Dancing host is reportedly standing by his side for the second time. A source told The Mirror: "Tess thinks this whole incident has been designed to cause harm and she won't let it affect her. They've talked about it and they're absolutely fine. They're totally united."
Meanwhile Rhian, who has now made all her social media accounts private, is said to have split with her actor fiancé Oliver Mellor. The pair have not seen each other for the past few weeks due to Oliver's work, with the Coronation Street star blocking his fiancée's calls.
"When he eventually did pick up the phone, they had a huge row and Oliver broke up with her," a source told The Mirror.
