Jennifer Aniston is one of Hollywood's most admired actresses and it seems she's even adored by one of her fellow actors – Jake Gyllenhaal. The Donnie Darko star revealed that he had a soft spot for Jennifer following their on-screen romance in the 2002 film The Good Girl, but what most attracted him to her?
"She's a rough one. Not likable. So hard to compliment," Jake joked in the latest edition of The Jess Cagle Interview.
Jake confessed he used to have a crush on Jennifer
The pair played on-screen love interests Justine and Holden when Jake was 22 years old and Jennifer 12 years his senior. "I will say, I had a crush on her for years. And working with her was not easy. I was – um, yeah. That's all I'm going to say. It was lovely. It wasn't hard, that's what I would say," he added.
Now 35, the Nightcrawler actor opened up about what sparked his interest in Jennifer, and it wasn't her role as Rachel in Friends. "Not so much Friends, but kind of her personality from afar, and movies she was in," he said. "And some of Friends – I'm not a huge Friends fan – but who she is."

Although Jake may not have been a fan of Jennifer's character Rachel Green, her iconic hairstyle 'The Rachel' was certainly a hit in the beauty world.
The 47-year-old, who is married to Justin Theroux, got together with fellow Friends cast members, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer for NBC's tribute to director James Burrows in February.
However, Matthew Perry who played Chandler Bing, was unable to attend the reunion due to commitments with his West End play The End of Longing.
Fans of the show have been waiting for more than a decade to see the sitcom's stars reunited again; Friends came to an end in 2004, 10 series and a decade after it first premiered.
