Good news McFly fans – the boys are back! The band announced plans for their Anthology tour on Monday evening, marking their first live tour dates as McFly since 2013.
The All About You singers will perform in four different cities – London, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester – in June. They will play three nights in each city, performing a different set list each night from their five studio albums.
McFly have reformed for a new tour
Band members Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd, Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter announced the news simultaneously on social media on Monday evening, much to the excitement of fans who have been urging the band to get back together for months.
"Fancy a McFly tour anyone?" Tom tweeted to announce the news, adding: "We are playing all 5 of our studio albums in their entirety. Every song. Every album. With a few little extras of course ;) #McFlyAnthology."
McFly last toured together in 2013. They formed the supergroup McBusted with James Bourne and Matt Willis later that year and performed two tours together before it was announced that Charlie Simpson had re-joined the Busted line-up in November.
The band formed the supergroup McBusted in 2013.
More recently the group have been spending some time apart to pursue other projects, which for Tom and Harry involves focusing on fatherhood. Harry and his wife Izzy welcomed their daughter Lola Rose Emma Judd in January, while Tom and his wife Giovanna's son Buddy Bob Fletcher was born just a few weeks later.
Dougie Poynter has spent a lot of time in Los Angeles as he pursues acting projects, while Danny Jones told HELLO! that he too is considering starting a family with his wife Georgia.
Danny hinted that a McFly comeback was on the cards in January, telling HELLO!: "It's really nice to have a bit of breathing space after 12½ years with McFly. We've never really had this time off, so we'll give it a few months and see how we feel.
"When we're all refreshed, we'll go and smash an album."
Tickets to McFly's Anthology tour go on sale on Friday 29 April.
