Sacha Baron Cohen is mourning the death of his father, millionaire businessman Gerald Baron Cohen. The 83-year-old sadly passed away at his home in London after a short illness, the Mail reports. His family were by his side.Gerald was particularly close to Sacha, and would often proudly tell his staff about the glamorous Hollywood events that he had attended with his actor son.

Gerald had a string of properties in both London and Cardiff, where he also owned two upmarket menswear stores. Following the news of his death, former workers paid tribute to Mr Baron Cohen Snr.
Malcolm Cohen, 70, who worked for Gerald for over 30 years at his Cardiff menswear store, Calders, said: "Gerald was a real gentleman who really looked after his staff. "I worked for him for over 30 years and talked him often on the phone and when he visited the store. "He was over 80 but still loved to work. He was very proud of his family. It's very very sad news to hear he has died."

Joseph Lowe, 53, who also worked for Gerald, added: "It was a real shock to hear he had died. He seemed fit and well a few months ago. I can't believe he is gone. His family must be devastated. "Sacha, 44, is best known for his performances as Ali G, Bruno and Borat. He has been married to Australian actress Isla Fisher since March 2010, and the couple have three children together – daughter Olive, eight, and Elula, five, and son Montgomery, who was born in March 2015.
