Instagram is one of the most used social media apps in the world, and Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have just been crowned King and Queen of the photo sharing app by having the most liked post of all time, overtaking the previous record holder, Kendall Jenner.

Justin shared a throwback photo of himself sharing a smooch with his ex-girlfriend Selena back in March, simply captioning the photo: "Feels". The picture, which is blurry and from several years ago, shows the couple kissing in a swimming pool.

After eagle-eyed fans spotted that Selena had liked the photo, this sweet snap sparked speculation that the couple were back together following their break-up in 2013, which could explain the reason for its huge popularity.

The photo is now at 3,570,045 likes while previous record-holder Kendall Jenner, who's famous snap shows her dressed in white with her eyes closed and her tresses shaped in hearts is now in second place with 3,561,311 likes.

Selena doesn't only appear in the most liked Instagram photo of all time, she also holds the record for the most followers ever, with 69.5 million fans.

She has spoken about the app, telling E! News that she thinks she will take herself off social media eventually. She said: "I'm utilising social media right now because of my age and because, to be honest, everybody else in the world was talking about me, so I wanted a… say.

"I honestly had to, because I didn't really expect my life to be as public as it was. Is this going to destroy me or make me? I still have to make that choice on a daily basis. In a few years. I’ll give all of it up. I don't understand all of that sometimes. I think about things very realistically, because I feel like some of those accounts probably don't even actually exist."
