Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon reunite for Mother's Day dinner with the kids

Showing everybody how to do co-parenting right, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon teamed up this week to have a pre-Mother's Day dinner with their children. Nick took to Instagram on Thursday to share a photo of their family outing, showing them all having a great time.Presenter Nick, 35, wrote: "A little dinner after karate class!!" Five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe took a break from their colouring to beam at the camera with mum and dad.

Despite officially filing for divorce in December 2014, Mariah and Nick have remained on good terms and the positive effect it's having on the children can be seen all over their faces.Mariah, 46, is now engaged to Australian billionaire James Packer, but she and Nick have been pictured together at celebrations including Easter and Christmas since their split, ensuring Moroccan and Monroe don't miss out on family time.

Nick insists he's pleased Mariah has found new happiness with James Packer

Last year America's Got Talent host Nick appeared on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, and she praised him and Mariah for coming together at Thanksgiving.He explained: "Yeah, it's family. That's family time and we'll always be a family. We make the kids the number one priority, for them to see their parents together and for everybody to get along and have a good time."

And Nick insisted he's happy for his ex-wife and her new fiancé. Although at the time he hadn't met James, he added: "I want to, though. I think that would be cool. It's still like, we've all talked about it and stuff. It seems like it's cool. "Mariah echoed Nick's comments during a US radio show chat last year, adding: "I think we're all just learning as we go. We're doing the best we can, and it's all about the kids. That's it!"
