May 11, 2016

Justin Bieber has written an emotional Instagram post saying he will no longer take photographs with fans. The Sorry singer said so many people now approach him for selfies when he is out and about that it makes him feel "like a zoo animal".

Taking to Instagram to explain his decision, Justin wrote: "If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I'm not gonna take a picture I'm done taking pictures. It has gotten to the point that people won't even say hi to me or recognize me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity.

"I realize people will be disappointed but I don't owe anybody a picture. And people who say 'but I bought ur album' know that you got my album and you got what you paid for AN ALBUM!"

Justin concluded: "It doesn't say in fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo."

The 22-year-old's announcement comes less than 24 hours after he asked fans to stop filming him while he paid a visit to a park in Boston. Justin sparked concern as he was spotted walking around barefoot and alone, appearing downcast as he listened to music.

It is not the first time Justin has spoken about the pressure he feels to please his fans, to the detriment of his own happiness. The pop star recently cancelled all meet-and-greets at his concerts, explaining that he always leaves "feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression."

Justin wrote: "Can't tell you how sorry I am, and wish it wasn't so hard on me… and I want to stay in the healthy mindset I'm in to give you the best show you have ever seen."
