Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini has opened up about his estranged wife Cheryl, revealing that he will "never think badly" of the star. The couple, who married after a three-month romance in July 2014, split in October last year.
The 35-year-old told The Mirror: "It's been a tough year, I'm trying to move on. I'll never think badly of her. She is a great girl."
Although the couple's divorce has yet to be finalised, Jean-Bernard revealed he has moved on from the Fight for this Love singer. He said: "I'm still a married man, but there is someone else."
The restaurateur also spoke about how they met. "I fell in love, what could I do? I didn't know Cheryl was famous when I met her. I was having a party at my house in South Africa and she turned up, but I didn’t know who she was. I always go for very beautiful women."
Jean-Bernard was pictured earlier this week partying with former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, but has insisted that he is just friends with the actress and Vanessa Perroncel, who he has also been linked to.
"I'm not going out with Vanessa, I've known her for 10 years and she has a boyfriend. Me and Pamela are good friends. She is a great girl. We were also with Paris Hilton that night. Just because you are out with someone, doesn't mean you are in a relationship.
"I'm just a normal guy, I didn't want to be in the public eye. I'm not a celebrity. My restaurant is doing well, but it was doing well before I met Cheryl. I've been coming to Cannes for 10 years."
Since their split, Cheryl has moved on from her husband with One Direction band member Liam Payne, who she has been dating since February. The couple hinted at their relationship on Instagram before they were spotted on date nights, and finally made their Cannes red-carpet debut last week.
