Calvin Harris involved in serious car crash

Calvin Harris was injured in a car crash on Friday night, forcing him to cancel a gig at the last minute. According to TMZ, the star suffered a laceration to the face and was taken to hospital following the collision.

Calvin's team confirmed the news on Facebook, releasing a short statement about the incident. Using his real name, Adam Wiles, they wrote: "Adam's transport was involved in a collision this evening on the way to the airport. As a result he will be unable to perform at Omnia tonight. He has been examined by doctors and told to rest for a few days - Calvin HQ."

Calvin is said to have suffered a deep cut to his face

According to law enforcement sources, the Cadillac SUV Calvin was travelling in as a passenger was hit by a Volkswagen Beetle allegedly filled with teenagers, one of whom who was taken to hospital after suffering a broken pelvis.

The source also revealed that the How Deep Is Your Love singer left the hospital after finding out there were no private rooms available "against medical advice."

Fans of the DJ have been quick to send get well soon messages, with one well-wisher tweeting: "Think we're all wishing @CalvinHarris is alright after being taken to hospital after a car crash in LA," while another wrote: "I'm sending all the positive vibes to you get better as soon as possible."

The Scottish star recently celebrated his one-year anniversary with girlfriend Taylor Swift, who opened up about their relationship to Vogue magazine. She said: "I'm just taking things as they come. I'm in a magical relationship right now. And of course I want it to be ours, and low-key … this is the one thing that's been mine about my personal life."
