McFly have been forced to postpone their upcoming Anthology tour after Harry Judd injured his neck. Taking to Instagram to announce the news the drummer said he was "absolutely gutted" to have to delay the shows, but promised to put on an "epic" show when he has recovered.

Harry explained the injury in a lengthy Instagram post, writing: "I'm absolutely gutted to say that we've had to postpone the tour as I've herniated a disc in my neck. I've honestly tried everything to make it work but I'd never want to do a tour where I wouldn't be able to give you guys the 110% performance you deserve every night."

McFly were due to reunite for their first live tour dates since 2013 at the end of June. However the tour will now begin on 12 September as Harry spends the next few months focusing on his recovery.

The All About You singers will perform in four different cities – London, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester – in June. They will play three nights in each city, performing a different set list each night from their five studio albums.

McFly last toured together in 2013.They formed the supergroup McBusted with James Bourne and Matt Willis later that year, and performed two tours together before it was announced that Charlie Simpson had re-joined the Busted line-up in November.

More recently the group have been spending some time apart to pursue other projects, which for Harry involves focusing on fatherhood, after he and his wife Izzy welcomed their daughter Lola Rose Emma Judd in January.
