Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have split after just 15 months of marriage. Amber, 30, filed for divorce from the film star this week in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. She listed the date of their separation as Sunday.According to TMZ, Johnny, 52, has filed legal documents of his own asking the judge to reject Amber's claim for spousal support. The star is said to be worth around $400million.

The couple's shocking split comes shortly after the death of Johnny's mother. Betty Sue Palmer passed away on Friday 20 May aged 81 after a long illness – and three days later Amber filed her divorce petition.

It is thought that they were legally married in LA a short time before so that his ailing mother could attend.Johnny was previously married to Lori Anne Allison for two years. He was later in a long-term partnership with Vanessa Paradis for 14 years before they split in 2012. They have two children together, Lily-Rose and Jack.
