Khloé Kardashian has filed for divorce from Lamar Odom for the second time. The 31-year-old reality star submitted her petition on Thursday, citing irreconcilable differences. She had reportedly enlisted the help of top attorney Laura Wasser – who is also representing Johnny Depp in his divorce from Amber Heard.Khloé and NBA star Lamar, 36, were married in 2009, just one month after meeting. She initially filed for divorce in December 2013, amid reports he relapsed with substance abuse problems and had been unfaithful.

However, she decided to call off their protracted divorce following Lamar's near-fatal overdose last October. "I just thought it was really insensitive to [expedite the divorce]," she admitted at the time in an interview with KIIS FM. "I get it, I get why it's confusing, I understand all of that.”Khloé provided both emotional and financial support to Lamar in the months following his hospitalisation, but has decided that now is the right time to move on with her life. "This was always the plan," a source told People. "The divorce has never been officially off. Khloé was waiting for the timing to be right."

A second insider confirmed that she had made the decision "some time ago". "She's honestly fine and it's more of a formality at this point. She's there for him and they're in regular contact and she wishes him well. She'll always be there for him. But as far as their marriage is concerned, that's over and has been for quite some time. It was time to make it official. "Lamar was also fully aware of the divorce filing. "Khloé told Lamar. He wasn't blindsided. He knew it was coming. It was amicable," the source said.
