The couple, who share a two-year-old son, Eric, seemed delighted to be having a day out together. Lauren looked elegant in a navy blue halter neck pencil dress with white detailing, which was perfectly complemented with white heels. She wore her long brunette tresses loose and wavy while tucked behind her ears.

Simon, on the other hand, looked dashing in a grey suit with an open white shirt, while holding a pair of sunglasses.

The couple appeared to have left Eric with a babysitter during the event, though the proud dad regularly shares photos of himself spending time with his son and has opened up about fatherhood. He told Daybreak: "One day they are talking, listening, responding and also they sort of become a bit like you. Which I don't know is a good thing or a bad thing! He's a funny little thing.

"He loves music, and when I say loves it, loves it! Fortunately one of the first records I got on tape of him playing along to was a One Direction record, so he’s got good taste."

The music mogul has revealed that he is following in the footsteps of fellow Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams by turning to children's fiction as his next venture, claiming that he feels he could do much better than the children's books he reads to little Eric. He said: "they're quite boring. I think I could do it better."

According to The Telegraph, Simon's first book will "be about animals," with a character based on himself which will be "obviously a sort of hero figure."
