Johnny Depp's attorney has responded to Amber Heard's domestic abuse claim on the actor's behalf, claiming that Amber is citing abuse for "financial resolution."
After Amber was granted a restraining order against Johnny, ordering him to remain at least 100 yards from her until their next court appearance in late June, Johnny's divorce attorney Laura Wasser said: "Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse.
"Her current application for a temporary restraining order along with her financial requests appears to be in response to the negative media attention she received earlier this week after filing for divorce. Yet Johnny cannot protect himself or Amber from media scrutiny, and Amber's anger certainly cannot drive this dissolution proceeding."
Johnny's lawyer claims Amber is looking for "premature financial resolution"
The actress accused Johnny of being verbally and physically abusive in a signed affidavit, claiming that the Pirates of the Caribbean star had struck her with an iPhone during an argument last Saturday.
Amber filed for divorce citing "irreconcilable differences" on Monday, to which Johnny responded by requesting the judge reject Amber's claim for spousal support. Amber then returned to court on Friday, claiming three instances of domestic abuse at the hands of the actor in the last six months.
In court documents she wrote: "I live in fear that Johnny Depp will return to [our home] unannounced to terrorise me, physically and emotionally.

"During the entirety of our relationship Johnny has been verbally and physically abusive to me. I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assaults to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him."
The Pineapple Express actress also submitted photos of a large bruise on her cheek which she claimed was caused by Johnny, and was still visible when she left court on Friday afternoon.
