It's considered normal these days for singers to branch out and release fragrances or a clothing line at some point during their career, but Taylor Swift – never one to follow the crowd – has endorsed a very different type of product.

The Shake it Off singer has released her own range of greetings cards in association with US chain Papyrus, and it's everything we never knew we needed.

Taylor Swift is now there for you when a friend needs cheering up

Taylor, 24, will donate a portion of the proceeds to charity, and has come up with some pretty good slogans for the cards. One reads "You are actual sunshine", while another says "Yay you!" We wouldn't mind receiving either of them, to be honest…

For now the cute designs are only available in America, but Papyrus has suggested they have plans to expand the range at some point.

Replying to a fan's comment on Instagram, they wrote: "All we can say is this is just the beginning. As of now they will only be available in the US, but keep an eye out because anything is possible."

The greetings card range also includes a sketch of Taylor with one of her famous cats

Perhaps the best card from the range is a sketch of Taylor with one of her two famous cats, Meredith and Oliva.

A message on the backs reads: "Taylor Swift. She is deeply honest and powerfully empathetic, a pop culture phenomenon, loyal friend, a fierce protector of hearts.

"Share in the gorgeous fun, sweet emotion and stunning style of this card designed by Taylor."
