Christina Grimmie will be laid to rest in a small, private funeral service later this week. The 22-year-old star, who was fatally shot while signing autographs last Friday, will be remembered by her loved ones in a ceremony held in her home state of New Jersey. "It's just going to be a small, intimate gathering for her family and close friends," a source confirmed to People.

On Monday night, hundreds of mourners gathered for a candlelight vigil in Christina's hometown of Evesham Township to remember the star. Her brother Marcus – who was hailed a hero after tackling the shooter himself – addressed the crowds. "She loved this town, she loved this state, she loved singing, she loved the Lord, and she loved me," he said. "She was my baby sister."

He continued: "Adam Levine paid for Christina's funeral. Selena (Gomez) is singing a song and crying (during her concert)… We are blessed. She's in a better place."

Marcus previously revealed in a Facebook post that Adam - who coached Christina on The Voice - had offered to pay for Christina's funeral. "I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away," he wrote.

In the same post, Marcus thanked fans for all their support following Christina's death – including the generous donations on a GoFundMe page set up by the singer's longtime manager Brian Teefey, who is also Selena's step-father.

"Now a friend just told me to look at the gofundme page and I see it is at 100k. Words cannot express...literally I have no words," he wrote. "Please do not feel the need to donate anything at all. Please. Just leave a kind word, message or picture in the comments."
