He's one of the country's most successful singer/songwriters, and was a judge on The X Factor for three years, so it should come as no surprise that Gary Barlow is once again on the hunt for UK's freshest talent.
The 45-year-old has teamed up with BBC One to find a band to join the cast of a brand new stage show featuring the music of Take That.
Gary Barlow is on the hunt for people to join a Take That musical
Each week on Let it Shine, Gary will be joined by three mentors as he searches for people who have what it takes to perform some of his biggest hits on the nationwide production.
Gary said: "Back in 1989 we were just a group of normal guys from Manchester who came together to become Take That. The secret to our success is that each of us brought something different to the group and that the five of us had real chemistry. Now with Let it Shine we're looking for people from all walks of life to form another unique group who can recreate that magic. If you think you've got what it takes, we want to see it!"
Bake Off's Mel Giedroyc will host the show alongside Graham Norton
Let it Shine will be hosted by Graham Norton and Great British Bake Off presenter Mel Giedroyc, and unsurprisingly they both jumped at the chance to be involved in such a fun show.
Mel explained: "This show brings together so many of the things I love – singing, dancing, Gary Barlow and Graham Norton. What's not to love? I can't wait to meet the singers and see the performances which I know will be utterly spectacular. If you know someone who's got the moves, whether they already sing in the shower or on the stage, we want to see them."
Take That is one of the most successful British boybands ever, having sold over 50 million records worldwide, and Gary has written 14 number one singles, so it's safe to say he knows what it takes!
