Louis Tomlinson

In January, Directioners all over the world went into meltdown when Louis Tomlinson's ex-girlfriend Briana Jungwirth gave birth to baby boy Freddie.

The One Direction star took to Twitter to confirm the news, writing: "I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :) He is healthy and pretty amazing. I am very happy." Briana keeps Louis' fans in the loop with regular photos of their adorable little boy.

Prince Carl Phillip of Sweden

Carl Phillip and wife Princess Sofia of Sweden welcomed their first child, Prince Alexander, in April 2016. A statement from the Swedish royal family revealed "mother and son" were doing well following the birth and that both Carl and Sofia were looking forward to bonding with their bundle of joy.

Patrick Kielty

They took the longest time to get together but, just over three years after tying the knot, Patrick Kielty and Cat Deeley welcomed their first child, a baby boy.

Patrick reposted his wife's statement on Twitter, which read: "Beyond delighted to announce the birth of our baby boy last week. All doing well & couldn't be happier… 3 really is the magic number."

John Legend

Just months after revealing their fertility struggles, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend underwent in vitro fertilisation and daughter Luna arrived in April!

Chrissy revealed she and John picked their baby's gender, telling People: "Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo.  I picked her and was like, 'Let's put in the girl'."

She added: "I think John deserves a little girl. I think he deserves that bond."

Harry Judd

McFly star Harry and wife Izzy became parents for the first time in January when daughter Lola Rose was born.

He later told HELLO! Magazine: "You are just floating in a cloud of love. It's amazing. Our wedding day was the best day of my life and this was a similar feeling but times ten. Being a dad just feels right. It feels quite natural. It's the best thing ever."

Sylvain Longchambon

Dance Sylvain and Coronation Street actress Samia Ghadie welcomed a baby boy in September. The proud new dad took to Twitter to confirm the news, writing: "I'm so happy and in love with our beautiful boy and so proud of my @realsamia (and in love with her too!)"

Paul Knightley

Sam Faiers and boyfriend Paul became parents in December when son Paul was born. Despite some comments online, following their reality TV show The Baby Diaries, Sam has been full of nothing but praise for daddy Paul's parenting skills.

She wrote on Twitter: "He adores baby Paul – every night he baths him before bed, it's like their little father and son bonding time. He'll then give him a baby massage, which is really cute."

Ronnie Wood

Although technically not his first Father's Day, it is Ronnie Wood's first with twins – and almost 40 years after his first child was born! In May Ronnie's wife Sally gave birth to twins Gracie Jane and Alice Rose.

A statement later read: "The girls arrived on 30 May at 10.30pm and are all doing brilliantly. The babies are perfect."

Sam Claflin

Although wife Laura Hamilton gave birth way back in December, Sam only recently revealed they'd had a baby boy! During promotion for his latest film Me Before You, Sam revealed how he plans to spend his first Father's Day.

He told People: "Just with the little man. I don't know what to expect – I have no expectations. I've never had that to look forward to before. I always thought, naïvely, that I knew what it would be like. [But when he was] born, it's like another level of love that you've never experienced before."

Nick Carter

Backstreet Boy Nick and wife of two years Lauren became parents for the first time in April. After a 30 hour water birth labour at home, baby boy Odin Reign arrived – and they were quick to show him off on social media.

Alongside one cute snap of him giving his son a bottle, Nick wrote: "I don't mind changing diapers and feeding him at all #love".

Mark Zuckerberg

On 1 December 2015 Facebook founder Mark and wife Priscilla Chan welcomed daughter Maxima Chan Zuckerberg. The birth came after Priscilla suffered three heartbreaking miscarriages.

In a sweet video posted on Chinese New Year in February, Mark and Priscilla confirmed Maxima's Chinese name is Chen Mingyu.

Andy Roddick

In October, Hank Roddick was born – and his parents Andy and Brooklyn Decker have since revealed their high hopes for him.

Speaking to People in March, Brooklyn joked: "We want him to win the Master and become the President of the United States, all in one year. And win Think it Up because he's such a brilliant globally thinking entrepreneur at the age of 14. But no pressure."

Andy added sweetly: "He'll be fine. He has a good mum."

Scott Sinclair

Footballer Scott's girlfriend, actress Helen Flanagan, gave birth to their daughter Matilda in June 2015.

He later revealed how settling down with Helen and having Matilda had benefited his career. Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, Scott explained: "Everybody who has got children will know it makes you think about life a bit more deeply and it has been great to become a dad. When you go home there is something to come back for after training."

King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck

The King of Bhutan and his wife, Queen Jetsun Pema, welcomed their adorable son Prince Jigme of Bhutan in February, and showed him off for his mum's 26th birthday in June.

The King later revealed the reason behind his son's name. He said: "The Gyalsey is not just the prince of the King and the Gyaltsuen, but a son to all of the Bhutanese people. Jigme means fearless. It symbolises great courage to overcome any challenge that he may overcome in future as he serves our country."
