Family man Matthew McConaughey is the proud father of three beautiful children with vastly different personalities. The actor gushed about his kids in a recent interview with People, in which he explains the different ways his sons Levi and Livingston and daughter Vida approach life.
Matthew says his oldest son Levi, 7, is "the most considerate person I know but he loves to measure the anatomy of the situation. Very much a perfectionist like me," while six-year-old Vida "just makes sense of situations. She cuts right to the nut of the answer real quick. The baby of the family, Livingston, 3, "is the doer. He's the monarch," reveals the actor, adding that their mother Camila Alves is the glue that keeps them all together.
"[With Camila] I've never been able to make any excuses," says the Texan, who credits his wife of four years for helping him elevate his career to Oscar-worthy heights.
During the interview, Matthew recalled the moment he first saw his future wife at a nightclub in Los Angeles. "I was very happily single ... I was not looking. But out of the corner of my eye, this sort of aqua-green figure went floating across the frame about 20 feet in front of me.
My eye went up and I remember what came out of my mouth. I didn't say, 'Who is that?' I went, 'What is that?' As I was trying to get that's attention across the room, I went in my head, 'This is not the kind of woman you call over across the room, McConaughey. Get your ass out of your chair and go get her.' Which I did."
This month, the actor returns to the big screen in the war drama Free State of Jones. The film, set in the 1860s, co-stars Brendan Gleeson, Keri Russell and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
