She's a top model and presenter with a career spanning more than two decades, but Lisa Snowdon has revealed how, by deciding to slow things down, she's more content than ever. The 44-year-old is championing women over a certain age – insisting that everybody should love the skin they're in and shouldn't be afraid to flaunt what they've got.
Earlier this year, the former Capital Breakfast host hit the headlines when she posted a Kim Kardashian-style nude selfie on Instagram. But her answer to the negative comments is simple: "If you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
Speaking exclusively to HELLO! Online, Lisa explains: "You'll always get the comments. I remember somebody recently said I shouldn't be wearing Converse trainers because I'm over 35. It's ridiculous! Just take it with a pinch of salt.

Lisa Snowdon ignores the negative comments about her Instagram posts
"Kim is clearly not bothered, she looks fantastic and I think it's down to the individual. If you're feeling good and you want to put those pictures up then just do it. I've been in the modelling and entertainment industry for a long time and I'm just not that shy!"
Lisa is also on a challenge to go make-up free and, as a result, is starting to become much more accepting of herself – a feeling of liberation she's keen for others to discover.
She continues: "It's a tricky world we're living in, with all the social media and different types of surgeries available. There's something really powerful about going make-up free, and it's so important to love and accept yourself. I've been trying to go back to basics and look after my skin – which is actually quite good, I've discovered."

Another important factor in Lisa's life are her niece and nephew, who she absolutely dotes on. Despite admitting her aunty duties can be exhausting, she wouldn't have it any other way.
"I adore those little one," she says. "I love to surround myself with these little, amazing characters and they're hilarious, but my God they're hard work! My nephew is four and he's showing me how to use YouTube! They're just so smart and so brilliant, and I'm crazily proud of them."
Of course, with little tech-savvy people running around her house, it's important for Lisa to have a reliable internet connection, which is why she's teamed up with BT to launch the new Smart Hub.

She adds: "In my house, we use multiple devices. I'm on the computer watching Netflix, online shopping on my tablet and checking Instagram and streaming music on my phone – it's just really crucial for me to have that speed and power, and to be able to roam from room to room."
And, after such a long time in the industry, Lisa has discovered slowing things down has given her a much better quality of life. It's been almost a year since she left breakfast radio, as well as now having the freedom to travel more, she isn't missing the early mornings!
She says: "I'm sort of picking and choosing my jobs at the moment and I don't have to be up at silly o'clock in the morning, which is nice. I'm really relishing having weekends away and I feel fantastic – the world is my oyster!"
