After months of rumours, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx's relationship status appeared to be confirmed earlier this week. US reality star Claudia Jordan, who is a friend of Jamie Foxx, was asked about the alleged romance during a podcast interview on Tuesday – and she apparently let the cat out of the bag.
Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Claudia said of Jamie: "[He's] a good friend of mine. [I was] never [romantically involved with him]. He is very happy with [Katie]. I like that he seems very happy."
Claudia Jordan allegedly claimed Katie and Jamie are together
But, after sparking fresh new interest in the story, Claudia later insisted she "misspoke" during the chat and added that she had no knowledge of a relationship between Jamie and Katie.
Speaking to ET just hours after the podcast, Claudia said: "I have no knowledge of Jamie with Katie at all. I've never seen them together, he's never told me he's dating her."
But Jamie previously insisted he and Katie are just friends
Claudia continued: "A lot of times, I get asked about celebrities – some I know, some I don't – a lot of times we just give a safe kind of generic answer. Sorry to not have this bombshell story, but I cannot confirm them. I don't have the knowledge of this being fact, I don't. I misspoke."
In May last year, actor Jamie addressed the rumours of a romance with Katie – and said that the picture of them seemingly holding hands, which originally started the story, was taken out of context.
He said: "I guess some knuckle headed person who was here hit us with the phone cam. I guess they are trying to get money for whatever. It's amazing what people will do to sell you out."
