Touched Celine Dion greeted by huge crowds in Paris

June 27, 2016

Celine Dion received an outpouring of love on Saturday as fans gathered outside her hotel in Paris ahead of her sold-out concert. Hundreds of excited well wishes positioned themselves outside the Royal Monceau Hotel hoping for the chance to see their idol in person – and they were not disappointed.

Clearly touched by the number of people who had turned out, Celine, 48, made an appearance on the balcony of her room to wave to the ecstatic crowd below. She then decided to leave the hotel, and happily posed for photographs and signed countless autographs as she made her way through the throngs of people.

Celine is in Paris as part of her eleventh concert tour, The Summer Tour 2016. It kicked off in Antwerp on 20 June, and the singer will remain in Paris until 9 July, before heading over to Montreal.

Celine has been determined to carry on with her commitments despite the heartbreak of losing both her beloved husband René Angelil and her brother Daniel within the space of just a few days in January.

The star signed countless autographs and posed for photos

She made an emotional return to the stage in February, during which she paid tribute to her late love. "Through my life I only had eyes for my husband, who sat out here night after night. People thought that I was looking at him but I didn't need to because every time I closed my eyes, I felt René on stage with me - whether he was seated in his seat right there, in the balcony, backstage, or at home with the kids," she told the audience.

"He's always been on stage with me and nothing will ever change that. "I might not hear his voice yet, but I talk to him, I think of him all the time. I feel and I know he hears me, one way or another. I know he will give me a sign for his approval or not. And now I can feel that he is telling me to zip it and start singing," she concluded.

Brave Celine draws strength from her three sons

Celine has said she draws strength from the couple's three children, 15-year-old René-Charles, and five-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.

"Every day, I look at René-Charles, Nelson and Eddy, and I see René," the star said last month, during her first in-depth on-camera interview since losing her husband.
