One year after her tragic death, Tony Cowell has taken to Twitter to remember his mother Julie. She passed away aged 89 after a long illness, and Simon's big brother shared a sweet photo of them in remembrance.
Alongside the snap of him with Julie and wife Emma Lloyd-Cowell, Tony wrote: "Remembering mum today. A year ago today she passed and we still love her dearly. So many memories. Sleep well mum x."

Emma also posted a sweet message, adding: "our beautiful, The Mother and remembering the hours and hours of laughter and mischief!!!"
Simon, 56, has remained silent on social media so far, but last year the X Factor judge opened up about the pain of losing Julie.
In July he told The Sun: "She'd been ill for a very long time. It really happened last year, and it was a tough, tough period. But I didn't want to burden anyone else with my problem. That's why I never talked about it.
Her son Simon Cowell later opened up about the pain of losing her
"In a way, that was the hardest part because it was always on your mind. But look, I experienced it with my dad and the only thing I can say is that I have incredible memories."
After cancelling just two days of X Factor auditions following his mother's death, Simon threw himself back into work – and his co-stars praised his strength.
Cheryl said at the time: "I have always admired his strength and tenacity, but now I have a whole new level of respect and love for him."
