Stacey Solomon talks 'awkward' first kiss with Joe Swash

July 6, 2016

They may seem like a match made in showbiz heaven, but Stacey Solomon has confessed she and boyfriend Joe Swash got off to a very awkward start. Singer Stacey and former EastEnders actor Joe went public with their romance earlier this year and he really worked to make it happen.

During an appearance on ITV's Loose Women, Stacey, 26, recalled how she initially told 34-year-old Joe she wasn't looking for a relationship – but luckily he didn't give up that easily.

Stacey Solomon revealed all about her awkward first kiss with Joe Swash

She explained: "My first kiss with Joe was probably my most awkward kiss of all time in my entire life. He came to say goodbye to me as I was leaving to go home and shut the door, but I am very prude and not very forward.

"Then before the door could shut, he pushed it open and walked straight up to me and kissed me and I just froze. I was so shocked that he kissed me and that he liked me and then he went."

Former X Factor star Stacey recently opened up to HELLO! Online about her relationship with Joe and insisted they work so well because they're so alike.

She said: "It's going really, really well. I'm so happy. Everyone says we're made for each other. We are like the same person, we come from really similar backgrounds and we've got so much in common. He's absolutely lovely, I'm so lucky."
