As their debut single Wannabe turned 20 last week, the Spice Girls' fans were left divided when reunion plans were confirmed, excluding two members of the chart topping band. Mel B, Geri Horner, née Halliwell, and Emma Bunton shared a video teasing plans for a celebration in London's Hype Park next year – without Victoria Beckham and Melanie C.
While a lot of fans were upset about the lack of Posh and Sporty, most were outraged over the suggestion the band name had been changed to GEM. Now former X Factor judge Mel, 41, has opened up about the plans, insisting they'll always be the Spice Girls.

During an Access Hollywood interview on Tuesday, Mel explained: "GEM is the name of our website. I think people are getting a bit confused with GEM."
But, when asked about Melanie and Victoria's involvement, Mel appeared to skirt around the question, continuing: "You know what? All will be revealed very, very soon. We have a few interesting things that we're going to be sharing with everybody. All the people that want to know."
Some Spice Girls fans are upset that Victoria Beckham and Melanie C will not be involved in the reunion
And Scary Spice confirmed reports she Ginger and Baby have been in the recording studio, adding: "We've been kind of experimenting with some different sounds and stuff like that but nothing to be able to share just yet."
In the video released to mark Wannabe's birthday, Mel, Geri and Emma said they want to thank their fans for standing by them over the last two decades.
Rumours of a reunion have been around for a while now, with Victoria said to be too busy with her growing fashion empire to take part, while Melanie is busy focusing on her solo music career.
