On what would have been her 76th birthday, Kanye West has shared a touching message to his late mother Donda. The rapper posted a note written by his daughter North on Twitter on Wednesday – alongside a sweet photo.
The post from three-year-old North read: "Nori asked if the airplane could take her to heaven to see you for your birthday. I love you mom."
Kanye West's mother Donda died in 2007
Donda sadly passed away in 2007 aged 58, after suffering complications due to multiple plastic surgery procedures, including liposuction and a breast reduction.
Following her death, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger passed the Donda West Law, which makes it mandatory for patients to provide medical clearance to surgeons before undergoing elective procedures.
During an interview with Q magazine last year, Kanye, 38, appeared to blame himself for his mother's death.

He said: "If I had never moved to LA, she'd be alive. I don't want to go far into it because it will bring me to tears."
While on tour in 2014, Kanye revealed his only regret in life is that Donda didn't get to meet North, his daughter with Kim Kardashian.
The dad-of-two said: "There's only one thing I wish I could change out of everything that's ever happened. I wish that my mother could've met my daughter."
