Tom Hiddlestone has been the focus of intense media interest in recent weeks. His month-long romance with Taylor Swift is one of the most talked about topics of 2016, and now the couple are back in the news again thanks to her recent clashes with ex Calvin Harris, and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. But the British star is maintaining a dignified silence.

As Taylor engaged in a war of words with Kim and Kayne on Monday, Tom was seen running along Broadbeach, near the couple's Gold Coast penthouse – choosing to focus on his fitness, rather than the ongoing media storm.

Tom, 35, is in Australia to film the next instalment in the Thor series, Thor: Ragnarok, and has been seen on a number of occasions running alongside the shoreline, helping to ensure he is in peak physical condition to reprise his role as villain Loki.

Tom has once again found himself in the spotlight following Taylor's clash with Kim and Kanye. "I like Tom Hiddleston a lot but right now he's basically a small flightless bird someone accidentally brought to a gang fight," joked one Twitter user.

Not that Tom will pay any attention to speculation about his romance with Taylor. Just last week, he officially confirmed their relationship in two separate interviews, and denied rumours that it is all a "publicity stunt".

The British actor recently confirmed his month-long romance with Taylor Swift

"The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we're very happy," he stated.

The star is also riding high professionally, having received his first Emmy nomination for his work on the hit BBC show The Night Manager.

"I didn't have any expectations, and suddenly my phone started blowing up a couple of hours ago," the Eton-educated actor said of the nod. "This is the most wonderful surprise."
