Taylor Swift officially claims writing credit for Calvin Harris track

July 19, 2016

Nils Sjoberg is no more! Taylor Swift has decided to ditch her pseudonym and has officially claimed credit for co-writing Calvin Harris' hit song This Is What You Came For. On the website for Broadcast Music, Inc (BMI) – which protects licenses for songwriters – Nils Sjoberg's name has been replaced by Taylor's, and she is now listed alongside ex Calvin as joint writers of the dance track.

The former couple worked on the single – which features Rihanna's vocals – when they were still dating, but kept Taylor's involvement a secret for fear of their romance overshadowing the music.

But following their split, Taylor's PR team announced that it was Taylor who had written the track under the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg, prompting Calvin to take to Twitter to share his side of the story.

"And she sings a bit on it too. Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual," Calvin, 32, told his fans. "I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.

"Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though."

Referring to Taylor's new romance with Tom Hiddleston, Calvin added: "I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.

"I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it. Please focus on the positive aspects of YOUR life because you've earned a great one. God bless everyone, have a beautiful day."
