Lady Gaga and her fiancé Taylor Kinney have called off their engagement and ended their five-year relationship. According to TMZ, the couple parted ways earlier this month although it is not yet known who made the call.

The Bad Romance singer has not confirmed the break-up on social media, although she has been pictured out and about not wearing her engagement ring.

A few days ago Lady Gaga, 30, performed at an orphanage in Mexico, again not wearing her diamond heart-shaped rock.

She and Taylor, who got engaged on Valentine's Day in 2015, have not been pictured together in months, prompting speculation that their relationship was on the rocks. The actor also celebrated his 35th birthday last week without his other half.

Last year Taylor spoke about how the couple were struggling to make much progress on their wedding planning.

"We've been talking about whether it's New York, Los Angeles, destination place so we don't have an exact idea yet," he told Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen.

The handsome Trauma star also opened up about how he and Lady Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – met on the set of her music video for You and I.

"We had a good time. I think there was chemistry," Taylor explained. "I remember it was a late shoot. We were shooting until four or five in the morning or something like that. We exchanged information. A few weeks went by and we kept in touch, and then that's that."

After four years together, Taylor popped the question with a stunning rock. His bride-to-be took to Instagram and shared a close-up photo of the ring, writing: "He gave me his heart on Valentine's Day, and I said YES!"
