Jessica Knowles has some wonderful news to share – she has beaten cervical cancer. Of course, there was one person above all others that the 28-year-old wanted to tell; her 23-month-old son Eddie. A touching video shared on Jessica's Twitter page shows the moment she tells her little boy that she is "better".
"Do you want to know a secret?" Jessica can be heard asking Eddie as he sits on her lap. "I'm better. Mummy is better," she tells him, before the pair share a big cuddle.

In the caption accompanying the video, Jessica wrote: "After all the love, support and prayers thrown at me from friends and family and all of you, I'm overjoyed to tell you… I'm better. Not as overjoyed as I was to tell Eddie!
"Thanks to the extraordinary work of Mr Thomas Ind at the Royal Marsden my surgery was a success. Bit of a way to go but tomorrow is my birthday and it's the best present I could have asked for. Can't. Stop. Smiling.
"To all the women who are still on this journey, I'm thinking of you all the time and saying so many prayers for you."
Jessica later shared a second video on Twitter showing her being sprayed with champagne by her best friend as she jumps around in a paddling pool. "The PERFECT way to celebrate beating cervical cancer @Laylaloves BFF in sickness and in health, Real tears," she wrote alongside the clip, which opens with the statement: "Jessica Beat Cancer."
"PS I do not recommend jumping around like that after surgery (was worth it for the moment) & compression stockings were back on after!" she added.
Jessica revealed the news she had been diagnosed with cervical cancer in her HELLO! Online blog on 1 July. In the weeks that followed, she was supported by friends, family, and her estranged husband Nick Knowles, who has been on hand to help both Jessica and little Eddie.
In a candid interview with the Mirror at the weekend, Jessica revealed how Nick has been there for her despite the end of their marriage back in January.

"Nick is a wonderful friend, he's here all the time, he's amazing with Eddie. The BBC gave him time off. Nick comes over and cooks me food, he's even planted flowers in my garden. He wanted me to be surrounded by colour."
She continued: "[Nick's] still there for me but it's hard. I'm really sad we split. We're really amicable. He's still my best friend. I have so much respect and time for him. It's been hard not being part of a couple.
"To not be able to lie next to the person you were with for eight years and tell them what you're going through and how you're scared."
