Fans thank Liv Tyler for sharing candid snap of her breastfeeding baby girl Lula

Just weeks after the birth of her third child Liv Tyler is looking better than ever, and took to Instagram at the weekend to share an adorable photo of her with baby girl Lula Rose.

In the candid snap, a fresh-faced Liv, 39, is proudly breastfeeding her daughter and she wrote alongside side: "Sunday morning snuggles with my baby girl. So grateful for this precious gift."

The Lord of the Rings­ actress was quickly inundated with praise from her followers for sharing the moment with them and ignoring the stigma attached by some to breastfeeding in public.

"It's a beautiful thing that only mothers can do for their babies," one user wrote, while another added: "This is such a beautiful picture in every way. Mum feeding her baby and chilling out x."

Clearly feeling empowered by Liv's disregard of the negative comments, one fan said: "Thank you for normalising breast feeding."

Lula is Liv's second child with Dave Gardner; she is also mum to one-year-old son Sailor Gene, and Milo, 11, from her relationship with musician Royston Langdon.

There's has been huge debate regarding women who breastfeed in public lately, and This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby recently defended mothers' rights during a debate with former Loaded editor Martin Daubney.

When Martin suggested women should "put a pashmina over it", a frustrated Holly responded: "You used to work on lads' mags. [There were] boobs everywhere, boobs on the front cover – I mean, I couldn't walk into a shop without seeing boobs."

Discussing the women who post breastfeeding selfies on social media in an attempt to fight the backlash, Holly added: "It's just promoting breastfeeding and how easy it is and how it fits into someone's life – if you want to get that out there, why not?"
